Café Le Sélect 965 - a photo on Flickriver

            The process. That day when I got to my table and looked around to see who was going to be drawn, I found that I only had two choices. This young guy or an older woman. I do have to add here that when I now say “older” woman or man, they are probably my age. Why do I keep saying “older?” But I digress. The older woman wasn’t interesting. However the young guy was. It wasn’t his face. I saw a line and I had to draw that line. I am talking about the line of the back of his head and neck. When I got my materials out to draw he had leaned forward and was talking to the woman he was with. I knew eventually that he would lean back because people always go back to their original pose. So, I started slowly drawing his face but couldn’t really get into the drawing until he was sitting back in his seat. Finally he did. With complete confidence and no mistakes I put down that line. I then happily finished up the drawing.
