Utrecht's Ugliest Building? - a photo on Flickriver

            This architectural monstrosity stands revealed in all its ugliness as the city centre re-development proceeds.

Fortunately 1970's insanity destroyed only part of Utrecht's architectural heritage.  (Much beauty remains in the old city centre and some suburbs).  Will we look back, in 40 or 50 years time, at what is being built now, and wonder (yet again), "What were we thinking?"

Well, I won't, but my grandchildren might!

Technical Note:  To those photographers that worry about the effect of putting a filter on the lens. This was shot through the thick and dirty window of a moving bus.  (It was the only way I could safely get to the place I wanted to shoot from).
