A Black Throated bushtit in lovely light

            A small active bird maybe around 8-12 cms long. Sighted a large flock of them on roadside bushes actively foraging. We could have easily missed them since they were not visible easily. But luckily we were on foot searching for some partridges and got these beautiful shots.

The birds are found in the Himalayan belt and much of the South East Asia. They are quite agile, noisy and prefer to forage in flocks around fruiting small berry trees. Also think they prefer insects for food since we found the flock bird near the Blue Fronted Redstart. Area which had a whole lot of Donkey / Wild Horse dung that is dried and used for making hearth fires by the locals to beat the severe cold.
