A Pretty Rare - Blyth's Paradise Flycatcher

            The bird is thought to be found only in South East Asia and parts of remote North-Eastern India on the borders of Myanmar. But then an accidental sighting sent a lot of the birders into a tizzy. There are maybe 1-2 records of this in peninsular India.

The bird looks almost similar to the Indian Paradise Flycatcher with some subtle differences - like a rufous ventral area, greying chest, short crest and beak. Many have now started combing their catalogues to see if this bird was shot by them before.

The bird's behaviour is also very similar to the Indian Paradise Flycatcher. Hunts for insects on the trees and on the ground, around wet areas and small ponds.
