I miss parades

            I miss parades and how they seem to bring a diverse community together all centered on a common theme and in a way that is joyous.

I miss parades because they were maybe the one time when I wasn't thinking about the horror of reality of injustice or maybe I was but could just be more hopeful.

I miss parades because the human energy is indescribable but overall so positive that you feel like some things are possible that you didn't really believe were possible before. 

I miss parades because they change the way I experience time and because there's a certain way several timelines come together and play a game of Twister.

I miss parades because of all of the colors and the sounds and the emotions that can't happen anywhere or any time else. 

I miss parades.
