Tufted Duck (Aythya fuligula) Dungeness RSPB

            Found on flooded gravel pits and lakes and reservoirs and ponds through out the UK .
Tufted Ducks feed on waterweed, plant seeds and aquatic invertebrates . The female is entirely chocolate-brown 
and the male is black with white flanks and a long tuft at the back of the head. The males head in  certain light shows this lovely green tinge . I might be just imagining it but I think he is looking  rather pleased with himself I wonder why ?
