G-AVGP 1 British Aircraft Corporation BAC One-Eleven 408EF Autair International (Court Line) MUC 08FEB70

            Replacing an earlier scanned slide with a better version 24-Jul-15.

Delivered new to Channel Airways in Jun-67, it was sold back to the British Aircraft Corporation in May-68.  It was wet-leased to Bavaria Fluggesellschaft for 6 weeks in May/Jun-68.

The aircraft was due to be leased to Dominicana as HI-148 in late -68 but the deal fell through and it was leased to Autair International Airways in Dec-68.  In Jan-70 Autair was renamed Court Line.

However Court Line were concentrating on introducing One-Eleven 500's and returned the aircraft to BAC just 2 days after this photo was taken, in Feb-70.

It was leased to Cambrian Airways in Mar-70.  Cambrian were merged into British Airways in Apr-76.  It continued in service with British Airways until it was stored at Bournemouth, UK, in Nov-88.

It was sold to BEA Birmingham European Airways in Apr-90.  In Oct-92, Birmingham European merged with Brymon Airways to form Brymon European Airways.  In Aug-93 the company was bought by the Maersk Shipping Group, Brymon was split off to become Brymon Airways again and the aircraft was transferred to the new company, Maersk Air UK.

In Dec-96 it was sold to Nationwide Air Charter, South Africa, as ZS-OAF.  It was withdrawn from use in Dec-01 and stored at Lanseria, South Africa and eventually broken up.

Note:  The registration ZS-OAF was later reassigned (Mar-07) to a Boeing 737-4S3 of Comair operating for 'kulula.com'.
