awakening [explore #13 24/03/2016]

            Trial Harbour on Tasmania's rugged west coast.  I entered this image in the inaugural 'Wild Tasmania' nature competition earlier this year - some time in the next few weeks i'll know if it's been short-listed as a finalist to be displayed in the Wild Tasmania gallery in Salamanca.  It was published in the newspaper for the competition, so i'll take that as a good sign.

I've uploaded quite a few from this series over the last few years.  Each image has its own character.  What I like about this particular image is the strange waves that form in the foreground - almost like fingers coming out of the water.  These waves weren't in any other image I took that day.

** Update: Unfortunately none of my images were short listed for the Wild Tasmania competition :(  but at least this image made it to Explore
