This was an incredible journey! The Labrador Coastal Drive stretches from L'Anse au Clair to Cartwright, offering breathtaking views of rugged seacoasts, fast-running rivers, and mountain ranges.
What to Expect
- Scenic Beauty: The coastline is known as Iceberg Alley, where massive icebergs drift south from Greenland in spring and summer.
- Wildlife & Nature: You’ll pass through historic settlements, see seabirds, and possibly spot whales.
- Cultural & Historic Sites: Visit Point Amour Lighthouse, the tallest lighthouse in Atlantic Canada, and Red Bay National Historic Site, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
- Fishing & Outdoor Activities: The Pinware River is famous for salmon fishing, and - there are plenty of hiking trails.

- Northern Light Inn Campground (L'Anse au Clair) – Conveniently located near amenities.
- Oceanview Resort RV Park – Full-service sites with scenic walking trails.
