1:43 Scale 1999 Ford Crown Victoria Detroit Police Cruiser

            For YEARS I’ve been wanting at least one or two model vehicles that represented my city.  Needless to say, mission accomplished.  These babies did cost me a pretty penny, I bought two of them (one for display, the other to sell on eBay down the road).  I’ve recently ordered some DPD (Detroit Police Department) miniature vehicles from the Beverly Hills Cop franchise, so those will be coming shortly.  Years ago (mid to late 90s), I use to have scale models of Michigan State Police of various sizes, and I plan to begin recollecting more of those in the future.   I also intend to buy more DPD scale models down the road, I’ve met some individuals who are way more skilled than I am in scale modeling who have customised model vehicles and converting them into DPD/MSP cruisers, who’d make mad profits off of the toys.  If I had the space/time/energy, as well as the discipline and patience, I’d do the same myself.  My hat is off to those guys and gals, they put in some serious work for that kind of detail whereas this toy was mass-produced overseas.  Eventually I’d like to get back into scale modeling.  I recently ordered a 1/8 sized DeLorean from the Back To The Future franchise, and they send the model in sections so you build as you go until the vehicle is complete.  I’ll keep y’all posted!
