British Beef (Explored) - a photo on Flickriver

            (353/365) The 3rd of 5 model wall plaques that we have in our kitchen. Each one about 18" tall & every piece is handmade & individually painted (see album below for the other photos, just 2 more to dust & photograph!)

16 years ago Martin worked as a butcher & meat auctioneer at large outdoor markets in the UK including Ayr, Rhyll & the Isle of Wight. He'd have a microphone on & be working the crowd "come on Missus, leg of lamb for a tenner, last one on the van". The company he worked for would easily take £5000 a day. I wonder if those markets are still going now?
