Charlotte Bluegrass 2024 Preview (Saturday, June 22)

I've seen Dale Ann Bradley two or three times, but only once when I was carrying a camera, so this photo dates from 2014 at the Milan Bluegrass Festival.

While she does her share of traditional and recently-composed bluegrass songs, Dale Ann's made sort of a trademark of adapting popular songs to bluegrass settings. I'm sure we'll hear her version of Susan Raye's "LA International Airport." Perhaps Tom Petty's "I Won't Back Down"? Fleetwood Mac's "Over My Head"? We'll see.

Dale Ann's been IBMA's pick for Female Vocalist of the Year six times. As that suggests, she's an excellent singer and top flight entertainer. She'll put on a good show next week.
