Summer evening walk, closer view - a photo on Flickriver

As requested, a selective enlargement (less than ¼) of the full frame scan of this photo from 1974 near Tehidy in Cornwall.

This was not posed - I took this from some distance away as we were on our way back from a picnic. I had stopped to take a landscape photo as Marie walked on and while waiting for me to catch up she had kicked off her shoes as the grass was soft and refreshing and wandered down the hill. I was pleased I had my new Soligor 300mm lens to capture the scene and contre jour light effect.

The cotton dress usually looked pretty opaque when dry but after the picnic we had been caught in a brief shower of rain (not unusal in Cornwall and refreshing on the hot afternoon) so at this stage it was still quite wet and the brilliant low sun seemed to illuminate it from the inside making her outline nicely just visible.
