Creepy Ice Cream Man - a photo on Flickriver

            Growing up in suburban Los Angeles, the theme song for the summer was that random monophonic tune the Ice Cream Man had coming out of his square truck.  They were over priced, but as a kid, it didn't matter.  You just wanted a rocket pop, or a mickey mouse chocolate ice cream on a stick, or some Now-and-Laters.  And while in 9th grade, I would come up behind him on my skateboard and hang on to his bumper as he sped through the neighborhood.   Good times.

Now the ice cream man drives around in a creepy van with no windows.  I dare to say he probably has a carpet kit inside as well.  Creepy.  And we all know what guys who drive vans with no windows are called.  Yep.

Anyway, my kids run outside and scream "dad give me money, quick!!".  What they don't realize is for the same amount it costs to get an ice cream each, I could buy 10 stocks of GM, a radial arm saw, and some new brown shoes.

And why just ice cream?  Why not other things people like?  Sushi?  Carne asada burritos?  Movies (like Netflix)?  I think there is a whole bunch of "creeper musical van" industries that are being ignored.  Who wants to start one with me?
