Cheviot Goat 1 - a photo on Flickriver

Cheviot Goat 1

            A feral goat, 15 miles from home on the summit of Simonside. These things are pure breed goats brought over, allegedly, by German miners a couple of hundred years ago(?) and now thrive as wild/feral herds in the Cheviots and elsewhere. This one has become quite tame. It's a mystery how he got there.
