Fanny (1995 - 2022)

            Our pet burro Fanny, who lived with us most of her life, was descended from a feral herd which roamed BLM administered land.  She was born on a farm in Grand Mound, WA. When she was very young her previous owners had named her "Poco Loco" because she had an ability to escape her pasture to raid a neighbor's corn patch.  We saw a newspaper ad and brought her home when she was about six months of age and she has been a member of our family ever since. I'll remember her braying, her playful nibbles at my hair from behind when I was pitching her hay.  Fanny got sick last month, had to be put down and we miss her greatly!
