Denominada igualmente como “Árbol de la flor” está instalada en la Placa Antonin Poncet y fue una creación del artista coreano Jeong Hwa Choi en el año 2003.

El ramo  está formado por 85 flores coloreadas y muy vistosas (algunas precisan ya una reparación pues su ubicación, al lado del río, las ha ido estropeando con los años). El efecto es el de una cúpula de arco iris de flora caprichosa. Mide 6 metros de altura y está realizado de acero inoxidable con un revestimiento durable de resina de poliéster.

La obra, una planta tecnicolor, fue presentada inicialmente como temporal durante el séptimo festival bienal de Arte Contemporáneo de Lyon en el año 2003. Los lyoneses la reclamaron para la ciudad tras la exposición y fue adquirida por la ciudad y reinstalada en el año 2007.

El artista, que vive y trabaja en Seúl, utiliza materiales cotidianos para crear arte público que busca involucrar a la participación. Una escultura de la "hermana grande" (25 metros) del árbol de la flor por el mismo artista se exhibe también en Shangai.

Also known as "Flower Tree", it is installed on the Antonin Poncet Plaque and was the brainchild of Korean artist Jeong Hwa Choi in 2003.

The bouquet is made up of 85 colored and very showy flowers (some already require repair as their location, next to the river, has been spoiling them over the years). The effect is that of a rainbow dome of whimsical flora. It stands 20 feet tall and is made of stainless steel with a durable polyester resin coating.

The work, a technicolor plant, was initially presented as temporary during the seventh biennial festival of Contemporary Art in Lyon in 2003. The people of Lyon claimed it for the city after the exhibition and it was acquired by the city and reinstated in 2007.

The artist, who lives and works in Seoul, uses everyday materials to create public art that seeks to engage participation. A sculpture of the "big sister" (25 meters) of the flower tree by the same artist is also exhibited in Shanghai.
