Armchair Traveling - A Close Encounter in the Ngorongoro Crater, Tanzania

            Today's edition of "Armchair Traveling During the Coronavirus Lockdown" takes me back to our African safari 2 years ago. We spent a day in Ngorongoro Crater. At one point, a lion crossed the road directly in front of our vehicle and sat down to rest in the shade of the tree just off the road. Though I have many better pictures of him, I kept this one because you can see the distance between our LandCruiser and the lion - we could  have reached out and touched him! Fortunately, he paid no attention whatsoever to all of the vehicles that flocked to the area for a closeup look. He just sat there licking the blood off his face from his recent kill...
