But allow me to quote the fun part, where Pastor Dennis Terry introduces Rick Santorum:

"I don't care what the liberals say, I don't care what the naysayers say, this nation was founded as a Christian nation...There is only one God and his name is Jesus. I'm tired of people telling me that I can't say those words.. Listen to me, If you don't love America, If you don't like the way we do things I have one thing to say - GET OUT. We don't worship Buddha, we don't worship Mohammad, we don't worship Allah, we worship God, we worship God's son Jesus Christ."

OK, first of all, Pastor, it isn't just liberals and "naysayers" who point out this country was not founded as a Christian nation, but also historians and the founding fathers themselves.

And who is telling you that you can't say "those words?" Nobody is telling you that. What they're doing is disagreeing with your philosophy, and you can't take that. I'm certainly not telling you what you can say, but I sure as hell am telling you that I have every right to disagree with you, and point out why I think you are wrong.

But I suppose your bible overrides the Constitution, and any logic and common sense I might express will be null if it doesn't correspond to a bible verse.

And now you're also saying I don't love this country if I'm not a Christian? I should GET OUT? Where should I go? I suppose it doesn't matter, because I'll eventually rocket my way up Satan's asshole as far as you're concerned. But how dare you say I have no love for this country simply because I don't believe like you do. How un-American of you.

Pastor Terry plays the victim here, but it is he who is clearly on the attack.

This is nothing more than a Christian hate speech, folks. But how many Christians will speak out against such talk? I know you're out there, you moderate, loving Christians, so why don't you say something? I need to hear from you.

Respect should come from actions, not professed faith. I can't respect any religion until the moderates, who I believe to be the majority of any religion, speak out against the fanatics. Until you do so, people like this arrogant, intolerant man will be seen as your leadership, your spokesperson. Is that what you really want? Is this how you want to be seen? Is this really your opinion?

If so, we have a serious problem, you and me.

Allow me to jump forward in the story for another quote:

“I know what’s in his heart. It’s the fact that he’s a Christian,” said Vickie Raabe, a 69-year-old Baptist…"

May I remind you that David Koresh was a Christian? What about Marshall Applewhite, or Jim Jones, or Pope Sixtus IV who aided the Spanish Inquisition? All those people where tortured and killed by Christians. But let's not even get into the Vatican's machinations. That would fill volumes.

Oh, but those Catholic priests who were molesting young children? Yep, you guessed it. Christian, every single one of them. The list goes on and on and on.

Being a Christian doesn't give you any special power to be a good person. It's time we abandoned that belief right now. For every decent Christian you can show me, I can show you a non-Christian who is every bit as good.

So I don't care what you say, Pastor Terry, and I won't try to stop you from saying it, but I will damn well assert my right to respond to you, to disagree with you, to debate you, all the while still loving the country I live in. I'm every bit as American as you are, and shame on you for inferring the opposite. If your Jesus is as hateful as you are, I want nothing to do with him.
