Howard's Vintage White Holmes 850 Twin Boom Wrecker

            Taken at the ATHS's Classic White Truck Group Convention held at Howard Trucking's facility in Fairborne, Ohio.  

This is a thrill and a disappointment for me.  The disappointment is that I couldn't get a better picture. Jerry always keeps some of his best trucks (and there are many) in this building where the light is awful for photography and things are pretty packed together.  I wish he'd pull more of them outside during his shows, but it generally rains so, I can understand whay he may not wish to do so.  

The thrill is that this is certainly one of the coolest old trucks I have ever seen.  I was beside myself when I saw it in it's restored form.  I had seen it two years before and was convinced it was headed to the scrap heap it was such a mess.  It took two years, but Jerry had it restored to what you see here.  I met the gentleman who did the restoration work on it.  The guy is a magician.
