Santa María del Mar stained glass window

Realizado en el siglo XIV.

En el centro del rosetón se representaron tres figuras, mostrando el conocido tema  iconográfico de la Coronación de la Virgen.
En el centro aparece la Virgen con una túnica rosa y un manto azul, esta capa como atributo de soberanía y promesa de protección a los fieles. El manto de la Virgen se relaciona con la bóveda celeste.

La figura más joven a la izquierda representa el Hijo de Dios y el personaje anciano de la derecha representa a Dios Padre, ambos vestidos con colores simbólicos, en rojo y verde. Aquellas dos figuras ostentan una posición sedente, mientras que la Madre de Dios permanece de rodillas, signo de respeto o sumisión.

Una paloma, símbolo del Espíritu Santo sobrevuela en la cabeza de la Virgen, sobre la mano del Hijo, quien corona a la Madre de Dios junto con el Padre.

In the center of the rose window three figures were represented, showing the well-known iconographic theme of the Coronation of the Virgin.
In the center appears the Virgin with a pink tunic and a blue mantle, this cape as an attribute of sovereignty and a promise of protection to the faithful. The mantle of the Virgin is related to the celestial vault.

The younger figure on the left represents the Son of God and the older figure on the right represents God the Father, both dressed in symbolic colors, in red and green. Those two figures hold a seated position, while the Mother of God remains on her knees, a sign of respect or submission.

A dove, symbol of the Holy Spirit, flies over the head of the Virgin, over the hand of the Son, who crowns the Mother of God together with the Father.
