            No.4464 'Bittern' is illustrated storming towards the camera and through the frozen Lincolnshire countryside at Spalding Common (between Peterborough and Spalding) leading 1Z19, the 08:25 London Kings Cross - Lincoln Central excursion to mark the last run of the LNER A4 Pacific before withdrawal for a major overhaul.

With thirteen Mk1 coaches in tow, the 1937 built locomotive is making good time along the recently upgraded 'joint line' from Peterborough.
