Ospreys: Last Meal Of The Day - a photo on Flickriver

            We watched this osprey nest for several nights back in June.  There were three chicks in the nest, but they are laying down in this image.  

We watched the parents bring fish and wet lake weeds to the nest.  It was in the 90's F and I believe the wet vegetation was meant to cool down the chicks.

The fish is a bluegill.  Thanks to Bob Haase(check out his Flicker gallery) for leading me to this nest.
