Andresito, the indian General II - a photo on Flickriver

            Andresito (Little Andrew) was a Guaranian native american; he was born in the old Jesuitic Missions and fought with a handful of Indians of the Missions against superior forces of Paraguaians and Brazilian-Portuguese during the second decade of XIXth century to keep the Missions united and within the new Argentinian state territory; his struggle had partial success after his death finally; the Jesuitic territory was divided between Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay-
