Alpes Dohle oder Alpendohle - a photo on Flickriver

            La chova alpina (Pyrrhocorax graculus) es una especie de ave de la familia de los córvidos (Corvidae).  El ave de 34 a 38 cm de altura es un miembro de su familia de tamaño mediano y se caracteriza por un plumaje negro, patas rojas y un pico amarillo.

El macizo de Zugspitz se encuentra al suroeste de Garmisch-Partenkirchen en Baviera y al norte del Tirol.  La frontera entre Alemania y Austria atraviesa su cumbre occidental.  Al sur de la montaña se encuentra Zugspitzplatt, una meseta kárstica con numerosas cuevas.  Tres de los cinco glaciares bávaros se encuentran en los flancos del Zugspitze: el Schneeferner del Norte y del Sur, ambos en peligro de extinción, y el Höllentalferner.

The Zugspitz massif is located southwest of Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Bavaria and north of Tyrol.  The border between Germany and Austria running through its western summit.  To the south of the mountain is the Zugspitzplatt, a karst plateau with numerous caves.  Three of the five Bavarian glaciers are located on the flanks of the Zugspitze: the North and South Schneeferner, both endangered, and the Höllentalferner.
