Iglesia de San Pedro de Escunhau, cerrojo y cerradura

[ENG] The church of Saint Peter de Escunhau (Aran Valley, Spain) was built in the 11th century in the upper part of the town, but has undergone important extensions and reforms in the following centuries. From its Romanesque period it preserves its façade (the nave has changed the barrel vault for a wooden structure and has lost the apse), a baptismal font, a holy water font and an extraordinary polychrome wood carving of a Crucified (today in the Museum of the Val d'Aran). [ESP] La puerta de la iglesia se inmoviliza con un mecanismo de cerrojo y cerradura asistido por una anilla. Son de hierro forjado (la anilla no estaba en nuestra visita, aunque sí su tope inferior), y están decorados siguiendo la tipología románica, aunque no ha sido datado por expertos en la materia.

La iglesia de San Pedro de Escunhau (Valle de Arán, España) se construyó en el siglo XI en la parte alta de la población, pero ha sufrido importantes ampliaciones y reformas en los siglos siguientes. De su época románica conserva su portada (la nave ha cambiado la bóveda de cañón por una estructura de madera y ha perdido el ábside), una pila bautismal, una pila de agua bendita y una extraordinaria talla de madera policromada de un Crucificado (hoy en el Museo de la Val d’Aran).
