Day 39: Get away to Adelaide River - a photo on Flickriver

            How about an adventure destination for today's get away.  The Adelaide River, a short drive from Darwin in the Northern Territory, teems with wildlife, including crocodiles who leap out of the river to take packets of food hung from the top deck of cruise vessels. 

The crocodiles performed brilliantly when I visited.  None moreso than this reptile who was missing both front legs, but it was no handicap to swimming and leaping.  I couldn't believe my luck when she leaps out of the water right outside my open window.  I quite like crocodiles, but in these days of Corona virus, we practice social distancing.
