Moon Rising Above Meteora, Greece - a photo on Flickriver

            The waxing gibbous moon rises above the “Roka” or “Adrachti” rock, at Meteora, as viewed from Kastraki village, Greece.

The bright daylight and the moon's low altitude (5.4° above the horizon) both impede capturing lunar surface details in great extent.

Meteora rocks constitute a geologically unique rock formation and are included in UNESCO World Heritage list. Roka is a distinctively spindle-shaped, erect rock.
