40 years ago (in Explore #180) - a photo on Flickriver

            My husband is having fun scanning his father's old slides. These two are of our car on our wedding night. 
Our friends had stuffed the car full of balloons which contained confetti. Of course I opened the door to get in and used a pin to burst several balloons.......not realising they had confetti inside......what a mess!!
We climbed in and drove off on the highway towards the Gold Coast and I threw balloons out the window as we went along until they were all gone. Only trouble was the confetti from the ones I had burst remained in the car.
We vacuumed that car thinking we had sucked up every little piece but when we turned the air vents on little bits of confetti continued to escape from within......and this went on for months and months!!
