Greater Roadrunner - Cryptic Colouration

            Greater Roadrunner (Geococcyx californianus) blends into its background habitat , a prime example of cryptic colouration, which enhances its ability to survive from predation.  This bird was observed in the harsh landscape near Rodeo, New Mexico, United States.
