            Mansion Of Vuong Family – A Historical Destination In Ha Giang, Vietnam

The residence of the Meo King, the name used in the documents is the residence of the Vuong family located in a valley in the area of Sa Phin commune.
The entire Meo King residence has an area of nearly 3,000 m2, was started in 1898 and completed 9 years later in 1907. The construction process 150,000 Indo-China silver coins, equivalent to 150 billion today. 
The mansion was ranked as a national monument on July 23, 1993 by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam.
Before starting construction, King Meo Vuong Chinh Duc went to China to find a feng-shui master to Vietnam, passing through the area of 4 districts under his jurisdiction to select the terrain. Finally, Vuong Chinh Duc and his teacher decided to stop at Xa Phin village, the terrain located in the middle of the Sa Phin valley. In particular, there is a block of soil floating high like a tortoiseshell, symbolizing the golden turtle god. If he builds a residence here, Vuong Chinh Duc's career will be successful in the future.

Khu dinh thự của vua Mèo, tên dùng trong các văn bản là Dinh thự họ Vương, hay còn được gọi với tên Nhà Vương tọa lạc trong một thung lũng thuộc địa bàn xã Sà Phìn, huyện Đồng Văn, Hà Giang. Toàn bộ dinh thự vua Mèo có diện tích gần 3.000 m2, được khởi công vào năm 1898 và hoàn thành vào 9 năm sau đó tức 1907. Quá trình xây dựng tốn 15 vạn đồng bạc trắng Đông Dương, tương đương 150 tỷ đồng ngày nay. Khu dinh thự đã được Bộ Văn hóa, Thể thao và Du lịch xếp vào hạng di tích quốc gia ngày 23 tháng 7 năm 1993.
Trước khi khởi công xây dựng, vua Mèo Vương Chính Đức đã sang Trung Quốc tìm thầy phong thủy sang Việt Nam đi qua khu vực 4 huyện nằm trong quyền cai quản của mình để chọn địa thế đất. Cuối cùng, Vương Chính Đức và thầy quyết định dừng chân tại thôn Xà Phìn, địa thế đất nằm giữa thung lũng Sà Phìn. Đặc biệt, ở nơi đây có một khối đất nổi lên cao như hình mui con rùa, tượng trưng cho thần kim quy. Nếu xây dựng dinh thự tại đây thì sự nghiệp của Vương Chính Đức sẽ thành về sau.
