Perpetual Milky Way - a photo on Flickriver

            We just returned from a 3 week trip to the Oregon coast. The main objective was to capture the milky way with some unique seascapes. This first one, was captured after some gale force winds finally settled down and allowed for long exposures.  I used  the PhotoPills  mobile app during some daytime scouting to know exactly where and when the milky way would be visible. The foreground was captured just after sunset and the sky was captured a few hours later. All in all, we were out there for about 6 hours, from set up to completion. The tripod and camera were never moved at any point, so this an exposure blend. September 3 2021.

Sky: 15 images stacked using starry landscape stacker for noise reduction,  ISO 10,000, 10 seconds, F2.8.
Hand blended using both Lightroom and Photoshop.
