Eine Langzeitbelichtung bei Tageslicht: Die für die Münchener Allianz Arena charakteristische Luftkissen-Fassade besteht aus 2.760 jeweils 0,2 mm dicken Folienkissen aus Ethylen-Tetrafluorethylen. 2014 wurde die Illumination der Fassade auf 8.000 Leuchten mit insgesamt 380.000 LEDs umgerüstet. Jeder einzelne Lichtpunkt auf der rund 29.000 Quadratmeter beleuchteten Außenhülle läßt sich gezielt und in Echtzeit ansteuern, wodurch dann z. B. Farbverläufe dargestellt werden können. Die drei verfügbaren Farben steigern sich auf ein Farbspektrum von 16 Millionen Farben. Durch diese Umrüstung werden die Energiekosten um bis zu 60 % reduziert und verbessert seine Umweltbilanz erheblich. Die Arena gilt als einer der größten LED-Fassaden der Welt neben dem Burj Khalifa in Abu Dhabi sowie dem T-Center in Wien. (Wikipedia)

Long-term exposure in daylight: The air cushion facade, which is characteristic of the Munich Allianz Arena, consists of 2,760 film cushions made of ethylene-tetrafluoroethylene, each 0. 2 mm thick. In 2014, the illumination of the façade was upgraded to 8,000 luminaires with a total of 380,000 LEDs. Each individual light point on the approximately 29,000 square metre illuminated outer shell can be targeted and controlled in real time, which allows for the display of colour gradients, for example. The three available colours increase to a colour spectrum of 16 million colours. This upgrade will reduce energy costs by up to 60% and significantly improve the environmental performance.
