Im Gegensatz zu den meisten anderen U-Bahnhöfen in München, besitzt der U-Bahnhof am Olympia Einkaufszentrum (Level 1) Außenbahnsteige, um eine Umsteigeebene zum Bahnsteig der nahezu rechtwinklig kreuzenden U3 zu sparen. Der säulenlose Bahnsteig ist mit einer Spannweite von über 17 Metern die größte freitragende Stahlbetondecke im Bereich der Münchner U-Bahn. Die Decke ist blau lackiert, die Wände haben gefaltete, teilweise verspiegelten Edelstahlbleche. (Quelle: www.u-bahn-muenchen.de)

Unlike most others in Munich, the platform at the Olympia Shopping Center (Level 1) has outside platforms to save one transfer level to the platform of the U3 subway, which crosses at almost a right angle. With a span of over 17 meters, the column-free platform is the largest self-supporting reinforced concrete slab in the area of the Munich subway.
