AP-AXC PIA McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30about to roll down runway 28R at London Heathrow

The 10s are back 😎😻 :)
The DC-10 was the widebody that I most liked to watch and photograph. The aircraft design was particularly suited to a number of airline liveries, Thai International being one of my all time favourites.

One of the five DC-10s that PIA operated - AP-AXC - is seen here about to roll down runway 28R at London Heathrow. In the background - a collection of BA aircraft on the stands. The rest of the fleet were AP-AXD, AP-AXE [w/o in 1981], AP-AYM & AP-BBL. The four surviving aircraft were sold off to CP Air in the 1980s in exchange for CP Air 747s.
