The remains of Boeing 720-047B TF-VLC dumped at Stansted airport

The Boeing Collection
This is the first of some 500 Boeing slides that I've had scanned from my archives. I couldn't choose where to start, so we're going randomly with the Boeing 720s. Hope they will provide some enjoyment and nostalgia from a bygone age :)

This photo is in my log as the one taken before my previous upload - Conair Boeing 720 OY-APZ, both aircraft taken on a short evening visit to Luton and Stansted airports. Although my log states this was the remains of TF-VLB, the internet tells me that TF-VLC was scrapped at Stansted around this time.

TF-VLC c/n 18820 Boeing 720-047B - delivered new to Western Airlines as N93153 in Jan 1965. The aircraft flew with Western throughout the 1960s and well into the 1970s before being sold to Eagle Air - Arnaflug in Oct 1977. The aircraft was leased out a number of times in the 1970s, including Britannia Airways, Kenya Airways, Air Malta, and Aviateca, before being withdrawn in Dec1979. The aircraft was scrapped the following year at Stansted.
