Ground Spider - Drassodes sp. - a photo on Flickriver

Occasionally there are other visitors to the moth trap other than moths, this spider was under one of the egg trays on the outside of the trap. There are plenty of these about at the moment hunting in the tall grasses but too quick to get a photo so pleased to get a close-up of this one.

Not a huge spider at just under 10mm and a nocturnal hunter, there are a number of very similar species so cannot pinpoint exactly which one this is.

Best viewed very large.
