Layers Of Madeira

            Just before sunrise we stumbled through the darkness. The glow of our flashlights reflected white in the dense fog. When we reached the viewpoint "Ninho da Manta" on the "Pico do Arieiro", there was not much hope for a spectacular sunrise. But just before the first light of the morning streamed across the sky, the fog lifted.

With my telephoto lens I was able to photograph the cape "Ponta de São Lourenço". In the foreground gentle hill ranges and at the very top of the picture the last night blue clouds.

Kurz vor Sonnenaufgang stolperten wir durch die Dunkelheit. Der Schein unserer Taschenlampen reflektierte weiß im dichten Nebel. Als wir den Aussichtspunkt "Ninho da Manta" auf dem "Pico do Arieiro" erreichten, gab es nicht viel Hoffnung auf einen spektakulären Sonnenaufgang. Doch kurz bevor das erste Licht des Morgens über den Himmel strömte, lichtete sich der Nebel.

Mit meinem Teleobjektiv konnte ich das Kap "Ponta de São Lourenço"   fotografieren. Im Vordergrund sanfte Hügelketten und ganz oben im Bild die letzten nachtblauen Wolken.
