hersey and the python - a photo on Flickriver

There was an article in the NY Times yesterday about the snakes in Bangkok, saying that the fire department has gotten over 31.000 phone calls from residents this year asking the fire department to come and take snakes away from their houses. This is several thousand more calls than last year, apparently in part because people became aware that the fire department provides this service. Fortunately, with my trusty dog Hersey, we haven't needed their help so far. (Knock on wood.)
