Mundos ocultos - Antigua Villa Imperial Romana Tusculo

El área arqueológica de Tusculo , en latín Tusculum , se extiende sobre una colina entre 630 y 670 metros sobre el nivel del mar entre los municipios de Monte Compatri , Monte Porzio Catone , Frascati y Grottaferrata ; es el eje histórico y cultural de los Castelli Romani, Comune di Roma, Lacio

Hoy claramente identificable gracias también a la presencia de una cruz monumental, el sitio tiene vestigios de casas y otros edificios de varias épocas, desde sus orígenes prerromanos, datables a la Edad del Bronce (siglo XIV aC), hasta llegar a 1191, año de su destrucción. La acrópolis de Sull  no es prácticamente nada antigua, excepto algunas inscripciones que datan del siglo I a.C., encontradas en 1901 que hacen referencia a dos templos dedicados respectivamente a los Dioscuros e Isis. Por otro lado, abundan los restos de la Edad Media, lo que atestigua cómo la zona estaba intensamente habitada en ese momento.
