Basking In The Sun

                       These two were basking in today's glorious sunshine at Jericho Beach Park. I was a little surprised to see them so early in the year. These are Red-Eared Sliders which are not native to this area but there are many taking over the lakes and ponds. Probably previous pets that were released into the wild.
