All Saints', Marden - a photo on Flickriver

            The last of the sun's rays striking the tower of All Saints', Marden, a village of just over 100 people.

The body of the church dates from the 12th Century; In the 15th Century the nave was largely rebuilt, and the chancel and tower added. The nave, chancel, and top section of the tower were all restored, or effectively replaced, in C E Ponting's "restoration" of 1885. The church is now part of the Cannings and Redhorn Team Ministry.
