Festival Gion Matsuri ..Kyoto Japan 2017

            Le festival de Gion Matsuri est l’un des plus grands et des plus anciens festivals du Japon. Il se déroule sur plusieurs jours au mois de juillet depuis l'année 869.Il est inscrit sur la liste du patrimoine mondial de l'Unesco.
Cette cérémonie d'origine shintoïste fut instaurée par l'Empereur afin de lutter contre les catastrophes naturelles, tremblement de terre et tsunami qui frappait le pays.Chaque quartier de la ville traditionnel est décoré de lanternes et des chars sont entièrement construits et recouverts de magnifiques tapis brodés.Des divinités sont promenées dans 33 chars et tirées à mains nues par des hommes en vêtements traditionnels. Des orchestres jouent de la musique dans et autour de ces splendides vaisseaux.

The festival of Gion Matsuri is one of the biggest and of the oldest festivals of Japan. 
It takes place on several days in July for the year 869. It is registered on the UNESCO world heritage list. 
This ceremony of Shintoist origin was established by the Emperor to fight against natural disasters, earthquake and tsunami which struck the country. Every traditional district of the city is decorated with lanterns and with tanks are completely built and covered magnificent embroidered(exaggerated) carpets(mats). 
Divinities are walked in 33 tanks and pulled(fired) with bare hands by men(people) in traditional clothes. Orchestras(bands) play the music in and around these magnificent vessels.
