Alabama Hills Dolly Move - a photo on Flickriver

            I ran my homemade dolly for a night-to-sunrise timelapse move in the moonlight of Mobius Arch, located in the Alabama Hills. Here I'm lit by the light of a full moon.

The dolly rails are 1/2" x 10'  copper tubing which split into 40" segments for travel. An Arduino, which I programmed with over 500 lines of code, controls all the gear and the camera. The cart is propelled with a stepper motor stripped from a scanner, and everything runs off NiMH batteries.
