The Canadian Desert - a photo on Flickriver

            You might be forgiven for thinking this is somewhere in Colorado.

Maybe, Arizona or perhaps California? Surely Oregon?

Well it's actually in BC, Canada on the 'Gold Rush Trail' near Williams Lake.

We had two days in the camper with not a soul in sight.

It would have been perfect visit if I hadn't made the grievous mistake of setting off in the morning with my 'accordion' stairs still down on the camper.

Thankfully, the drive up the hill was only a few minutes and the groomed track marks of my stairs on the gravel road weren't too much of an eyesore.

My stairs on the other hand resembled a nicely curving water slide.

Luckily my 'dealer' Wayne was on site with his tool kit to fix the stairs, thus saving me from a rage induced ditching of the stairs entire.

This misadventure just goes to illustrate the importance of not doing anything before morning coffee.
