Dayus Square, Birmingham 18/04/2019

            Another after dark visit to the Jewellery Quarter, this time with an up-and-coming local student photographer.

These are my images from in and around Dayus Square. This square is named after Birmingham author Kathleen Dayus. Kathleen who wrote "The Ghosts of Yesteryear" and "The Girl from Hockley", grew up close to square and died shortly before her one hundredth birthday in 2003.

This is an area of Birmingham full of relics from the past industry in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter. Legge Lane was a traditional metal working area, until recently being home to tradesmen such as brass founders and silversmiths.
