生態與分佈 Ecology：
蜻蜓在昆蟲界中素有空中的小霸王稱號，英語稱蜻蜓為 "Dragonfly" 意即【空中飛龍】台語稱蜻蜓為「田嬰」，日本則稱牠為（tonbo）象徵幸福、力量和勇氣。橙斑蜻蜓分布地區廣泛，數量也很多，分佈於1000公尺以下之湖泊、池塘，牠們生性活潑好鬥，雄蜓為了領域會互相驅趕、追逐、相互對峙數秒之後，即快速往天空中竄升而去。停棲時都將腹部高舉指向天空，是為了要讓身體減少陽光直射的面積，這樣身上的溫度就不會太高。
