Scurrying across the ground with something edible clutched to its chest.

Eastern Fox Squirrels are an introduced species in Portland, far outside their natural range. They are better adapted to urban and suburban environments than the local native squirrel, the elegant and much shyer Western Gray which they far out-number in such places.
