Derby Castle terminus, Douglas Horse tram No. 34 & MER No. 45

An old photograph (slightly smaller than usual at 4" x 3") of the Manx Electric Railway, Derby Castle tram terminus/station, on the Isle of Man.

To the photo right is tram No. 45, and centre left under cover is No. 34. The lorry on the left has the name Okell's on the roof and is registration JMN633.

"Fred, the Manx Electric tram on the right (45) is one of the 1899 G.F. Milnes trailers built for the extension to Ramsey. Horse car 34 was built by G.F Milnes in 1896 and is now at the Isle of Man Transport Museum, Jurby. The lorry on the left belongs to Okell's brewery and will be delivering beer to the adjacent Strathallan Hotel (now the Terminus Tavern)." 🚃

The photo reverse is stamped with the photographer (and/or negative owner) name J. C. Gillham (aka John C. Gillham (1917–2009)), and annotated with "Derby Castle".
