Nottingham tram No. 134 @ Market Pl., Bulwell

An old photograph of Nottingham Corporation Tramways (NCT) car No. 134 at the Market Place, Bulwell, showing '3 - Trent Bridge - Market Place - Bulwell' destination blinds and 'Trent Bridge side destination board. After 1929 the NCT was known as Nottingham Corporation Passenger Transport Department (NCPT), and after 1936 as Nottingham City Transport.

The photo reverse is stamped with the photographer and/or negative owner name R. B. Parr and the date 15 Aug 1915.

No. 134 was built as a balcony car (aka 'Preston semi convertible') in 1911 by the United Electric Car Co. seating 60 and running on a Brill 21E maximum traction truck, it was probably withdrawn from service and scrapped 1933-6. The parts of the Nottingham tramways system that had not already been withdrawn or transferred to trolleybus/bus operation closed in Sep 1936.
